Natalie Fleming

Fleming’s love of nature is reflected in all of her work. She says, “Each new season, each rebirth, even a blade of grass or a mushroom is a celebration of life. Even though to many people that life would seem eneventful and mundance, to me it is very exciting, and that is what I would like to share through my art.”

Fleming’s work has been exhibited at the Smithsonian, The Balitmore Museum of Art, and many juried shows, where sh has won numerous prizes. In 1993, Fleming was selected as an exchange artist to Kazakhstan, where her work is in the permanent collection at the State Art Museum at Alma Ati. She is a life, juried member of the Balitmore Watercolor Society and a juried member of the Potomac Watercolor Society and The Washington Watercolor Society and the Missouri Watercolor Society. While living in Maryland, Fleming had a studio for fiteen years at Montpelier Cultural Arts Center, where artists compete for space in a jurying process and must be rejuried every five years along with all the other artists who want to get in.
