Artist’s Statement:
I love the challenge of seeing the beauty around me and expressing it on canvas, capturing the play of light and shadow, atmosphere and color. My medium of choice for that expression is the richness of oil painting.

I have dabbled in various forms of art since childhood, beginning with a mad rush for the Sunday paper to copy illustrated clothing ads. That led to four years of study at the Maryland Institute of Art Saturday School. Since then I have continued my art education through workshops and personal development. While I have worked with different media over the years, recently I have been devoted to representational oil painting. I currently live in O’Fallon, MO and am an active member of the Oak Leaf Artist Guild and the St. Peters Cultural Center. I look forward to more and better ways to express the beauty in everyday life. Shown on this website are some recent examples of my work. I hope you enjoy them.
